Muscle Shoals is known as the hit recording capital of the world. Songs and artists such as Bob Segar's "Old Time Rock and Roll," to Etta James belting "Tell Mama" and Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved a Man" have all been recorded right here in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. To many, Muscle Shoals created the soundtrack of their lives. The famous music studios, FAME and Muscle Shoals Sound are still alive today with their history of successful records trailing behind them. Thousands of people tour the legendary studios every year.  The Muscle Shoals Songwriters Association's goal is to create new platforms in Muscle Shoals for future singers, songwriters, musicians and music business professionals. Songwriters from across the nation will descend on Muscle Shoals to share their stories with audiences of all ages. There will be a special Hit Songwriters Showcase at The University of North Alabama's Mane Room and Singin' River LIVE that will feature legendary songwriters who have written mega hits for the world's biggest superstars.  Be  sure to follow us on social media @muscleshoalssf and tag us at #muscleshoalssf2019.  We can't wait for you to be a part of this event!
